Being a Mom.

On Friday night, something horrible happened. I cringe just thinking about it. Hallie put a sleeping bag ontop of her head and started walking around. She fell and hit the computer chair. At first I didn't think it was a big deal, because let's face it, my daughter is a Drama Queen. I'm not going to lie. She cries dramatically over Owen just taking her "Bankie". But when I took the sleeping bag off of her head and saw all of the blood, I panicked. And then when I wiped away the blood and saw the 2 holes in her lip, I panicked some more, and when I saw the two holes on the outside of her lip I panicked. A LOT. Yup, that's right, her teeth went straight threw her lip to the other side..oh and when I saw that her top tooth was bleeding and loose..I started crying. Dramatically. I had to. I couldn't help it. I didn't let Hallie see it though. I wanted her to think I was brave. Good thing Chad was there. He calmed me down.

I called Amy (she's a nurse). She told us that they don't typically stitch mouth injuries. So we went and bought some liquid stitch. We gave her Tylonal, put some peroxide on it, some ice, orajel. She was fine after that.

The next day it was really swollen and looked awful but somehow better.

Isn't it horrible when your child gets hurt?? I don't know if I'm cut out for this!! How will I handle it when one of my children breaks an arm or heaven forbid gets into a car accident. I felt so helpless. I wish I were a doctor and not a

On a good note:

I got to spend some quality time with my little family yesterday and I feel rejuvenated. It was so fun. We didn't do anything fun in particular. We didn't play in the snow because it's like a huge sheet of ice. This snow was dangerous..

I love my family. I love my husband. We went to my parents house last night and my little sister Leah came in the living room and asked, "Bonny, um, can you and Chad leave and go on a date?" I guess she wanted the kids all to herself? I didn't hesitate. "Of course we can!"

We had received a gift card to O'Charley's for Christmas.. We went to eat and then we went grocery shopping at Super Target. It was the best date. I LOVED it!!!!! It was so nice to spend some quality time with my significant other.

And then when we went to pick the kids up, they wanted to spend the night. Chad and I got to spend the evening together and I got to sleep in this morning. It was blissful.

Hallie just got home. Her mouth looks bad today. I think I might start crying dramatically again.

Can I vent a little? Do you mind?

I'm having a rough day. Well, a rough week.

I'm tired of not having a husband...

He is in Cookeville, working Monday and Tuesday, home Wednesday...until 2:30, Gone Thursday and Friday, I see him on Saturday afternoon, if he doesn't have something for Church, and then most Sundays-he's gone.

He started school last week. So exciting! I really am excited. I just can't wait for him to be done.

We NEEEEEEEEEEEEED a job-here! ANYTHING!!! We have applied at fast food, hardware stores, retail stores, banks etc. Nothing. No one will hire us.

It's cold. Our electric bill went up $78 this month. $78!! It almost doubled!!! How is that possible? I hate this weather. Spring needs to get here...now.

On a good note, he has a job interview on Friday. I'm not going to give details. I don't want to Jinx it. I will afterwards..how's that? Oh..we never heard from Vanderbilt. Oh well.

Things have to get better soon..they just have to.

Thank you..i feel better...not really I just feel bad for complaining. sorry.

Three Christmas's!

Christmas was really great this year!! We had so much fun! We were home Christmas morning. Leah, my sister, spent the night with us. I loved seeing the looks on their faces! We started shopping for Hallie & Owen in July, that way we wouldn't have this huge bulk of money gone in December. We bought them 3 gifts each again, and it worked out really well. We got Hallie a Tag (I got it on sale in August for $15), a Camera, (again on sale in July for $20), and a Strawberry Shortcake doll. Owen got a Buzz, a Huge semi with cars inside, and a racecar rug from Ikea for only $15! Sorry I just love bargains. When we moved in we had a portable fireplace, we decided to sell it and use the money to get a Flat Panel TV! We waited until we found a good deal..and got one the day after thanksgiving at Target! I felt really guilty about getting it, but it is still exciting and we really did need a new TV. You can see the TV box in a couple of Pictures.

We had the train again this year but we added a bubble machine the next morning, the kids loved it!

Stockings!!

AFter our Christmas we headed on over to The Sommers house..just a few fun pictures from there

The office party
(I hate this picture of me, but everyone else looks cute)

When Chad would bring girls home to visit, when he was younger, he said that Catelynn would always come and sit in between him and the girl. So he decided it was time for some pay back and tried to sit in between Catelynn & her boyfriend.

Chad & O

I have to throw this one in there. This is Hallie & Owen telling Santa what they want for Christmas..Hallie said she would like ALL the Princesses..and Owen said that he wanted a train. Last year they were both terrified of Santa. This year, Hallie went straight to him and Owen was very reluctant, but still sat in his lap when he saw Hallie do it..but I could tell he was a little uncomfortable.lol.

Kid Quotes

I love how kids talk, it is just so cute!! My kids have the cutest sayings, and I hardly ever correct them because I think it's soooo adorable! Just like when my brother, Hunter, was little he called Pancakes- Pan-a-Cakes..I loved it. I still call them that.

The first column: the correct word/pronunciation
The second column: the way my kids say it

Donuts-Doonuts
McDonalds-Happy Donalds
Unicorns-Neighcorns
pinky toe-piggy toe
peek-a-boo-teek-a-boo
please-klease
Umbrella-Rainbrella
Hello Kitty-Kitty Hello
X-box-Ro-box
Pepperoni-Macaroni
Bathing Suit-Baby Suit

2 days ago, Owen ran to me crying, "I pooped my pants!" I realized he had diarrhea. So I took him to the bath room, sat him on the toilet, where he had a "little" explosion (if you know what I mean). His eyes got huge and he said, "Mom! My poop is FASTER!!!!"

Pssstt...Want to hear a Secret?

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a Ballerina. Now, 20-something years later, I still want to be a Ballerina..

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Hallie just spilled a 64 oz bottle of Juicy Juice on my couch, while I was loading the Dryer.

Live Nativity

We went to a Live Nativity a few weeks ago. I've never been to one before so we were excited. Hallie and Owen were so excited to see baby Jesus at the end. We went inside and there was a Shepard telling everyone that he had seen the Baby Jesus, he told us not to tell anyone that we were going to see him, because there were Soldiers around and they would arrest anyone that mentioned his name. So we went into the Village and there were basket makers, animals, wine makers, money exchangers, soldiers, Prophets, etc.

The soldiers would not smile and just kept telling everyone to move along, to pay your taxes.

The Prophet that no one seemed to be listening to.

At the end we saw Mary & Joseph & Baby Jesus, it was very sweet.

A few Extra Pictures

Chad said something to me about the length of Hallie's skirt when we got to Church that day, I thought it was funny that he was being so protective of her. I thought the outfit was cute.

I love Owen's smile in this Picture

They love each other (most of the time)

So sweet

At Sears about to get their Pictures Taken

Hallie kept saying, Let's go shopping!! I wonder where she get's that from? hmm..
