We still haven't heard from Houston. Crazy, I know. It has now been 6 weeks. Wow.
Chad had a Written Exam, a Physical Agility test, and an Interview with the Cookeville fire department. We don't know when we will hear from them. I'm not that excited about this job because it doesn't pay much....at all. But he will be working 10 days out of one month so that leaves time for a second job, which means, I will NEVER see him. Yuck. But it is a job.
Vanderbilt is hiring an Aquatics Director. He has applied. I want him to get this job SOOO bad, you do even know how badly I want Chad to get this job. It pays well, we wouldn't have to move, IT'S VANDERBILT. sigh. I really, really, really want this job! Please Pray for us, and thank you so much for all your prayers so far!

American Doll!!
When I was a kid, I LOVED the American Doll books! I read them all, Molly, Felicity, Kirsten, Addy and Samantha (she was my favorite.) Anyways, when I found out there were dolls I wanted one soo bad. I loved getting the magazines. NOw Hallie loves getting them. She's not old enough to enjoy the books yet.
The weekend of the 23rd, Amy Greene, a good friend of the family, Invited us to come down to visit her in Atlanta, for the weekend. We always have so much fun spending time with her and her family. She called me up the day I was to leave, to ask if I would want to take Hallie to the American Girl Store. I said, "Are you kidding me?!?!" I didn't know there was one in Atlanta, I thought the closest one was in Chicago! So that weekend we got to go get Hallie a doll.
I, oops..I mean Hallie, was in Heaven.
Here she is on the way.
Ready to go in.
We wanted a "Just Like You doll" You can pick a doll that has, the same hair, eyes, skin as your little girl, but we ended up finding an American Doll that looked just like Hallie, she's new, her name is Rebecca, she replaced Samantha (yes they got rid of Samantha..I was devastated ;) They have everything for these dolls, beds, houses, shoes, any outfit you can think of..strollers etc.
Then we went and had lunch in the American Doll Bistro! IT was adorable.
They brought out a little chair just for Hallie's doll.
Then they brought Owen a doll that looked just like him so he woudn't feel left out...so cute!! They also brought the little dolls their own little plate with tiny little muffins.
Here we are.
And this is Amy!
Amy bought Hallie the doll because it is her 4th Birthday coming up, so they sang her Happy Birthday, The lady in the picture had a BEAUTIFUL voice!
AFter lunch we took Hallie's new doll to get her ears peirced and to get her hair done in the American Girl Salon.
Amy bought Hallie and Rebecca matching Pajama's..aren't they cute?
She has sponge curlers in her hair b/c she was Shirley Temple for Halloween, so we needed some tight little ringlets in her hair.
We had so much fun at the American Doll Boutique & Bistro, Thank you Amy for taking us!

Utah Visit

I went to visit Brittany in Utah from October 7-13. She paid for half my ticket. She wanted me to come because she just got a new house and she wanted me to help her decorate. It was so fun. I loved shopping with her money..lol. I also LOVED spending time with her and her babies. I love my nephews. They are so cute.
Cade & Bonny
Connor & Bonny
We were driving around Britt's neighborhood, looking at the houses, and I saw sunflowers. I wanted to pick one, but they were hard to pick.
I quickly picked one it was dark and I was nervous about snakes and bugs.
Plus the sunflower was stinky. oh well..
I had so much fun spending time with my sister. I really wish she lived here, but it's fun visiting Utah.I also got to see some good friends of mine, Lindsey 'Bradford' Dean, Nikki 'Browning' Oviatt & Joni Lelis. It was so good seeing them. I did a lot of shopping out there. I got to go to Downeast Basics, Anthropologie, Jamba Juice, Cafe Rio, Winger's, Deseret Book, Seagull Book, IKEA. I got some CUTE stuff!! Thanks to everyone that bought some bows for me I sold $200 in bows before I left, so I had some good spending money.
Anyways, can't wait for my next trip out there!! Thank you Brittany & Cameron for inviting me!! Love you!!

Because a few of you asked...
The hat below is $28 not $22 because I needed a size 4T. It is on Etsy and her site is called Ummashin's Goodies. You can just click on the word 'THIS' on the post below to get to the site. (it's right above the picture of the hat)

Wants and Needs
I just got back from Utah, two days ago. It was wonderful. More on that Later! I need pictures first (had to use Britt's Camera).
I want THIS for Hallie!
I can't bring myself to spend $22 though! sigh. Her birthday IS coming up, but I think I want it more then she ever would. BUT she does NEED a hat, on the other hand I could just go to Target and get her a cute hat for $10... I would NEVER do that, spend $10 on a hat, from Target (I would... but don't tell my husband ;)
I am just trying to justify buying this hat b/c it's homemade and there is NO other like it. And it is FREE shipping!!
I have Chad's voice in the back of my head saying "$22 for a hat?? A hat??" Yeah, I probably won't buy it....probably.

Why do I like food so much?
Particularly chocolate.
WHY, WHY, WHY!!!
I was doing sooooooooooo GOOD until Chad brought me these! Shame on you Chad, SHAAAME!!!...but it was oh SOO scrumptious.

>
He got it from the russell stover factory in Cookeville for $6. Its the chocolate that has flaws, if it had any flaws, I didn't taste it.
I ran 1 mile today and walked/ran another one. Maybe that will make up for the chocolate I ate...doubt it.
P.S. Thanks for the comments on the dress, I meant to mention below that I have never sewed an article of clothing before in my life, my dear mother in law guided me through half of it. It's a good thing you can't see it up close b/c there are a lot of flaws, but I figured for its for Halloween, who cares. Thanks Vicki for helping me!! Love you!
I think I'm going to get a piece of Chocolate now..brb...................mmmm...that was good.
So much for that run.

Look what I finished yesterday!!!!
Can anyone guess what Hallie is going to be for Halloween?
The dress is actually A LOT shorter then it looks in the picture, I think it was the angle that I took the picture.

Hey! Guess what!?!
I'm going to Utah!! ~to visit my lovely sister Brittany and her cute babies (that includes you too cameron!) I'm so excited!! AND...Guess what else???? I ran a mile straight tonight!! STRAIGHT. Don't think I've ever done that, except for on a tread mill. Why is it that I can handle an hour of boot camp, but 10 minutes of running kills me? I started running a week and 4 days ago. But i didn't run at all this week, except for today. I was training for the 5k, but then I got that plane ticket...ohh shucks...Maybe if I keep it up I'll look like this:
...What? I think she's sexy.
AND...Chad has a job interview with the University of Texas. That's right, he still hasn't found a job. And, NO I do NOT want to move to TX, but I will for a good job.

Miserable.
So this week Chad has been out of town: ALLLLLL week :( He's been working for his Dad in Cookeville. On top of that, I've been sick, one of those colds that make you feel like you have the flu, that just will NOT go away. It seems like it's getting worse, not better. I cried alot yesterday, I felt miserable and I wasn't being a good mommy, I just didn't feel like it. Owen also kept getting into everything! The chewing of the glue gun sticks was my last straw, I broke down, right when Abby's mommy, Jocelyn, came to pick her up, how embarrassing. She must have thought, wow, she must really love those glue gun sticks, but it wasn't just that, it was the dumping of the laundry, the throwing of the popcorn, the spilling of the water (all over my living room), etc, etc...all the stuff she hadn't seen. I went to my moms house, when we returned home I found this sitting by my front door:
How sweet is she??? Jocelyn sure did make my day, that and the two Benadryl pills I took to help me go to sleep last night, sigh. Too bad that stuff wouldn't let me get out of bed this morning. The kids woke up at 6:30 as usual. I got up, put a movie on, gave them a granola bar, their sippy cups and went back to bed. Please don't think I"m a horrible parent. I listen to what they're doing. A little while later, when I heard cereal being poured into a bowl, I found this hiding behind my couch:
If you are wondering what was in her cereal bowl It was this:
And a few raisins thrown in there, Owen had one too, I think they thought it was cereal. I feel horrible.
Oh well, all is quiet right now, I better go see what they're up to. ;)

Growing up
Today we were about to leave and Chad told the kids to go get dressed.
This is what Owen put on, I was pretty impressed b/c he actually picked out a bottom and top that went together.
And THIS is what Hallie put on. (pardon the blueberry muffin mess)
And we went out, crazy outfits and all.
Scroll down to see what we did on our Anniversary!

Our Anniversary Celebrations!
I don't like this picture of me, but I thought it was a good one of him.
I like this one of me, but not a very good one of him, maybe I should photoshop them together.
For our Anniversary, we took the kids to my Mom's house (thanks Momma!) and went out!! YESS!! I love dates, especially anniversary dates! So, first Chad took me to Sam's (yeah, i know what you're thinking, I was too, believe me...) he said he had a surprise for me, I couldn't think of what it would be! MY cpu has been going REALLY slow b/c I have 3000 pictures on it, I've been needing an external hard drive for it. There was one that I really wanted, and yes, that is what he got me. I know, I know you're probably thinking, "HOW ROMANTIC!" while rolling your eyes, well to me it was, so there.
Then we went to five guys. Don't know if any of you have been there, but they have the best burgers around. Chad took me there because it was our "Five" year anniversary thus the "Five" Guys, he's a clever one, that one. It was DEE-LICIOUS!! and SOOO healthy!!
Then he took me on the GO-CARTS, and yes, I BEAT HIM!!! Oh yeah, uh huh, go Bonny, go Bonny, its your birthd...okay okay, sorry.
Then we played Miniature Golf!!! I got a hole in one...TWICE!!!
This is my pink golf ball in all of its hole in one glory. YESS...
HOLE IN ONE!! GOOO BONNY...GOOO BONNY...Aint nobody dope like me i'm just so fresh so..what, oops, there I go again.
Us in front of the Castle, although, you can't see the castle.
So here is a picture of the Castle, for those of you who were disappointed that you couldn't see it in the previous picture.
Oh and did I mention that I beat Chad in golf? Well, I did. Here is the proof. IF you can't tell by the paper I beat him by 5 strokes..
After Golf we went and got frozen Custard from Ritters and it was soo creamy and yummy. I love custard. I had such a fun night. We have so much fun together! I really couldn't have asked for a better night. I'm so grateful for him, he is such a wonderful husband and father. I love you Chad!!! And thank you!!

The Fair, A Pageant and Temper Tantrums
So my sister-in-law, Catelynn Day, she is 16, decided to compete in a pageant, at the Fair, in Cookeville. I took some pictures of her. She had never competed before and just wanted to for fun. I always thought it would be a fun thing to do, never did it. Who wouldn't love getting all dressed up and walking around in front of a ton of people? Well, the getting dressed up part seemed appealing, and I was never really a competitive person, probably why I never did it. Anyways, back to Catelynn, I think she did a great job! She didn't win, but she had so much fun doing it! It was fun watching Candi fix her hair and makeup, and helping her pick out her jewelry, etc.
While we were waiting for the Pageant to start, Grandavid and I took the kids around the fair!
This is Hallie and Grandavid after getting the tickets, she was so excited to ride the rides!
First ride of the night, the carousal, I didn't want to get on it, they make me dizzy.
A boat ride.
This was their favorite ride, probably b/c it was a lot more exciting then the other rides, it went a lot faster, they screamed the whole time, happy screams.
So at the end of the night, the kids were so tired, and cranky. They did not want to sit through the Pageant. I didn't get to see who won, b/c we left early. Hallie was not very happy about this, when I told her we had to go, she started SCREAMING at the top of her lungs b/c she didn't get to kiss her Mimi goodbye. She rarely has temper tantrums, I've only seen her do it once she only does this when she is EXTREMELY tired. Anyways, we had to rush out of the Arena, and into the crowded Fair, Grandavid was pushing Owen in the stroller, and I was carrying Hallie, she was kicking and screaming, she actually kicked her flip flops off and hit 2 people. She was hitting me and everyone was staring, we were about half way out of the fair when she screamed I DON'T LOVE YOU!! I DON'T LOVE YOU!! Hearing this really hurt me, I was already feeling terribly embarrassed, sticky (Owen had spilt his sprite all over me) and exhausted, and then to hear her say that, was just crushing. I didn't expect to hear that until she was a teenager. I couldn't help it I just started bawling. All the way to the car. When she settled down enough to see that I was crying, she kept saying, STOP Mommy, STOP!! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I'm SORRY!! So anyways, that's my little story. Overall though, it was a fun night.
Have any of your kids pitched a fit in public? And if so, what do you do? How do you handle it?
