New Orleans

For our 10th Anniversary Chad convinced me to go to New Orleans with him. I say convinced because at the time I was nursing Finn and did not want to leave him. I decided to go, last minute. BEST.DECISION.EVER.

Luckily I have an amazing sister in law who was able to come down and watch the kids for 4 days. Thank you Candi!

We took the Megabus. $20 round trip for the both of us. We started our trip with a late night Movie in montgomery. Guardians of the Galaxy. I really liked it. Then we got on the bus and drove through the night to New Orleans. This was the only part of the trip I hated. It was cold uncomfortable and I could not sleep. It was miserable. When we got there we had to walk a few miles to get to our bed and breakfast. I saw this on our walk.

We got tired and stopped and took a rest in a park.

We ate breakfast at Cafe Du Monde. DELICIOUS! I had to get their hot chocolate even though it was like 100 degrees outside.

I called our B&B and even though it was a few hours earlier than check in time, they told us we could check in early! We were thrilled! We told them it was our anniversary and they even upgraded our room for free!! I adored this place! Chad picked it out by himself and I was so proud of him! We took a glorious 2 hour nap and then went to lunch.

Gorgeous NOLA

We ate at Dat Dogs...DELICIOUS!

Chad took me to Emerils for our anniversary dinner. It was so fancy and fun!

We ate at Mother's

The most delicious Snow Ball EVER! from Hansen's if you ever go to NOLA go there...you will not be disappointed!

Po Boy

There was a banana plant at our B&B

We walked Bourbon street and as we were walking we saw they were filming for NCIS: New Orleans. We watched for a while and then got some ice cream and headed back to our room.

This is Lucas Black from the Show.

We walked around 9 miles/day and took the trolley everywhere.

District Donuts

This trip was magical. I wish I would have taken more pics of the architecture! The food was amazing. The shopping was so fun! I LOVED spending time with Chad without the kids. I felt young again. I want to go back again soon!
