Job Interview

So, Chad's interview went okay. He showed up and they called him in, they didn't really give them a chance to introduce himself, they went straight into the questions. The interview was only 10 minutes long. So it doesn't seem to be too promising. He asked some of the firefighters that he knows if this was normal and they said yes. So we'll see. We should hear something next tuesday. We have been pondering on what we will do if he doesn't get this job. He might get some job that will get u s through then summer, and then i will try to find an art teaching job for this fall. He will then go to school while I teach. For what, we don't know yet. He's thought about nursing, EMT, teaching, MBA or a MPA. He has also applied for a YMCA Branch Director position in Kentucky. I don't really want to move but it pays well, so I don't think I would mind so much. So who knows he might get that. I'm sure something will come up, it's in the Lord's hands.

Update!

So, as you know Chad has an interview on Tuesday. We found out today their were 97 people who passed the physical agility test, normally there is only around 20. So, this means, he has less of a chance of getting the job. He needs to come up with something memorable. He is one of the first interviews, so, he can't be forgettable. Please pray for him that he will really impress them!! Also, the swelling in Owen's finger finally went down about 2 days ago. I just put iodine on it morning and night and prayed a lot. He is fine now! Thank goodness!

Easter

The Saturday before Easter was my birthday! Chad a class he had to teach in Cookeville, so we stayed with his parents for friday and saturday. We went to see Monsters vs. Aliens, we dyed eggs, had a HUGE, YUMMY dinner (thanks Vicki and Candi!!), got easter baskets and had an easter egg hunt! It was sooo fun! We went home that Saturday night, woke up the next morning and got ready for Church. We didn't do Easter baskets this year. We just bought them a Easter treat the next year. Anyways, Easter morning was so hectic getting them ready for church, I wanted everything to be perfect for pictures. B/c of the extra time it took to take pictures, I forgot sippy cups and Chad left the house in his bright blue crocs!! I had to leave church to get the forgotten items. It was frustrating. Church was very uplifting, oh! the boys in my Sunday school class, that I teach, brought me a beautiful yummy cake for my birthday! Wasn't that sweet? I thought it was thoughtful, maybe they really do like me..hmm...I always thought they hated me..haha..anyways, After church we ate grilled cheese sandwiches, took a LOOOOONG wonderful nap, and then went to my parents. They had a really delicious Easter dinner, and they had birthday party for me. Thank you EVERYONE for all the gifts and dinners and cakes! It was a wonderful Easter and Birthday!! Enjoy the pics, I got a little "edge blur" happy...;)

GREAT News!!!!

So the Smyrna Fire Department called Chad today and asked him if he'd come to an Interview on the 21st at 8 am!!!!! We are sooo excited that they called, we weren't expecting to hear from them for another week or so, and we also expected a letter, not a call!! So pray that he does well!! After this he will have another interview. We know that if he gets called in for the 2nd interview they will be offering him the job!! Here are a few pictures to celebrate the news!!

So Chad brought home some baked potatoes from a church function and left them on the table. Hallie kept saying, "My tummy is hungry, my tummy is hungry!" (even though she had just eaten) We walked into the kitchen to find this:

Chad brought this little "fire pit" home from his parents and set it up for the kids. He told them it was hot and not to touch it, and they didn't! haha (it is just some light weight paper with a fan and a yellow light underneath)

We went to Sam's and Hallie begged me for some icecream, I wouldn't have normally gotten it for her but I had promised her a treat that day. The ice cream cup was HUGE, it was twice the size of the cup she was holding, she ate a lot of it!! ...and got most of it on herself. She was freezing!!

We started our garden a couple of weeks ago. I planted flowers and Chad planted vegetables, the kids helped fill the cups with dirt, they loved getting all dirty..

Hallie's soccer team, half the kids weren't there..oh well..

Help!!

So not this past thursday, but the thursday before that, Owen Grabbed the tip of my hot glue gun, I was sitting RIGHT there and it happened so fast, but it felt like slow motion anyways, he got a burn on his finger he sat in my lap for 3 hours with his finger in a bowl with cold water. My mom told me to put mustard on it sure enough I put mustard on it and never heard from him about it again. After that day I made sure to clean it, put neosporen sp? on it but he refused to but a bandaid on it. So about 4 days ago it started to look fine, and then 3 days ago it started to swell!! Does anyone know what I should do about this? Has anyone ever seen this? Don't have insurance at the moment, but will soon. (b/c of the no job thing) That's a long story in itself. Don't have time to get into it. Chad says it will be fine, i'm stressed about it 24/7. I know that if he gets a temp or a line going down the swelling its a staff infection. Haven't seen either yet, and he doesn't even act like it bothers him.

Bows?

So, I've decided to try a little experiment! I absolutely LOVE making bows! The other day during general conference I made bow after bow, and realized that I was pretty good at it haha..so anyways, I thought hmmm...maybe I should sell these!!! So I started a bow blog!

Check it out: http://bonnybluebows.blogspot.com/

I haven't come up with prices yet, i probably will this evening, but please leave comments and tell me what you think. Also, give me some ideas on how much you think they should cost? I know that soo many people sell bows, that's why I'm going to try to sell them for less then the normal Boutique or website. Maybe I'll be successful at it? Maybe I won't, but at least I tried!!
