Gosh, I thought once I moved here, everything would get back to normal and I would be blogging on a regular basis again. Boy, was I wrong.
Knox cries most of the day. Unless I'm holding him and I certainly do not want to type one handed, that would take forever. And when he's napping. I need to clean, or watch my favorite shows on Hulu, or sleep, or clean. Because when he's awake...I can't.
What should I do? Just let him cry all day? It rips at my heart and tugs on my nerves. I can't handle it.
Hallie helps alot..but hearing her taking care of him trying to get him to stop crying- makes me feel sooo guilty. He's not her responsibility..but then I heard that in the "olden days" moms would have their 5 year old daughters take care of the babies all day while they got the house work done. 5 year olds? That's how old Hallie is?!!? I can't imagine her watching him all day like that. So I let her play with him while I cook dinner or run to the bathroom. Should I feel guilty about that? Or is it good for her?
blegh.
Life is good though. God is wonderful. We are so blessed and I'm still in love with that little boy..

You should not feel bad one bit! I know Hallie enjoys taking care of Knox anyways, so why not let her? You need a break sometimes, at least to get things done! :)
Bonnie, don't feel guilty at all!! Caitlin is 6 and she watches Alaina in her room (baby proofed) and plays with her and Alaina LOVES it! You need your sanity so you can be the best mother to them that you can be!!
Awww hugs Bonnie! I love your new blog layout!! So cute!
I just wanted to stop by and answer your questions. So far, I've tried many Dry Shampoos and I swear by the product I link below. I'll let ya know how the homemade recipe goes ;)

Do NOT feel guilty. It's good for her and it's good for Knox. Does he have colic? I have to just let Nora cry sometimes because I have to get things done. Usually the girls end up going to her and singing or talking to her to try to get her to quit.
Oh I feel for you about Knox crying so much! :( I can totally empathize with you... I don't think you should feel bad at all for Hallie helping with him and I agree that it is good for her. My girls cried and cried just like you described if they weren't held and it did make me feel like I would "lose it". Fortunately it doesn't last forever and it seemed like my babies got easier after they hit 6 months for some reason and I got them moved into their own crib. I'll be praying for you! love you!
