Help!!

So not this past thursday, but the thursday before that, Owen Grabbed the tip of my hot glue gun, I was sitting RIGHT there and it happened so fast, but it felt like slow motion anyways, he got a burn on his finger he sat in my lap for 3 hours with his finger in a bowl with cold water. My mom told me to put mustard on it sure enough I put mustard on it and never heard from him about it again. After that day I made sure to clean it, put neosporen sp? on it but he refused to but a bandaid on it. So about 4 days ago it started to look fine, and then 3 days ago it started to swell!! Does anyone know what I should do about this? Has anyone ever seen this? Don't have insurance at the moment, but will soon. (b/c of the no job thing) That's a long story in itself. Don't have time to get into it. Chad says it will be fine, i'm stressed about it 24/7. I know that if he gets a temp or a line going down the swelling its a staff infection. Haven't seen either yet, and he doesn't even act like it bothers him.

Bows?

So, I've decided to try a little experiment! I absolutely LOVE making bows! The other day during general conference I made bow after bow, and realized that I was pretty good at it haha..so anyways, I thought hmmm...maybe I should sell these!!! So I started a bow blog!

Check it out: http://bonnybluebows.blogspot.com/

I haven't come up with prices yet, i probably will this evening, but please leave comments and tell me what you think. Also, give me some ideas on how much you think they should cost? I know that soo many people sell bows, that's why I'm going to try to sell them for less then the normal Boutique or website. Maybe I'll be successful at it? Maybe I won't, but at least I tried!!

Some cute Pics and an Update

So, Chad took his physical agility test for the Smyrna Fire Department yesterday. We had set up a practice course this past tuesday. He did well on it, it was extremely difficult and I'm pretty sure there was no way I could have done it. Anyways, he finished the practice run in about 10 minutes. As for the real thing, we aren't 100% positive, b/c they don't tell you, but we are pretty sure he passed. They told him a week before that typically if they don't say anything to you, then you passed. We will find out in 2 weeks. (hopefully) I am so proud of him for finishing. He said that the guy before him didn't pass. So it is just a waiting game now. Pray that he gets an interview and does well!! Please!! P.S. there are also two more new posts under this one! Check it out!! ;) P.S.S. I just noticed our front porch looks horrible, we have since then sanded and painted our front porch haha.

Soccer!!!

So we started Hallie in soccer last monday. It was hilarious. For those of you who know Hallie, she is ALL girl. She is the only girl on the team, and it just happened to be EXTREMELY muddy that day.. It was so funny to watch Hallie, everytime she would kick the ball, she would start doing little ballerina leaps and start frolicking through the field, meanwhile all the tough boys were running circles around her kicking the ball and falling into the mud. She had a water bottle and before she would kick the ball she had to clean the mud and grass off of her ball with her water bottle. Then she started skipping through the field, squirting her water bottle on the ground saying, "I'm planting flowers." At one point, she fell into the mud and that was it for her, she said, "Okay, I'm ready to go home now." When we got into the car she said, "I'm muddy on my shoes, I'm muddy on my pants, I'm muddy on my hands, I'm muddy on my face, UGGHHHHHHHH!!!" Haha, it makes me laugh just thinking about it. Anyways, Chad is the new coach of her soccer team, he is so excited. Her first game is tomorrow, but he's going on a campout so he has to miss it. :(

Here she is with her water bottle, after she fell in the mud:

1st Dentist Visit

So 2 saturdays ago, we took Hallie and Owen to the dentist. We went to Wild About Smiles in Murfreesboro. It is the perfect place for little kids, they have tons of toys and a little tree house, nintendo, prize carts. Anyways, they had fun..for the most part. They took us to a room and they laid them down on the little bed/chairs. They started Owen first, he started screaming, which made Hallie scared b/c she thought he was getting hurt, so when it was her turn we had to hold her down so they could check for cavities. It wasn't good, but then they got to pick a prize from the prize cart, they LOVED that, they had everything from jewelry, to balls, to cars..so cute. They also took a picture of them and gave it to us with the date and it said "first dentist visit". They were Cavity free by the way!! Chad and I also went to the dentist that week. We hadn't been to the dentist in a LONG time. I know that's bad, but we are procrastinators when it comes to the dentist, I guess! They told me that I had beautiful teeth and I had NO cavities. Chad had one cavity and a fractured tooth, he is getting those fixed today. Here are some pictures of the kids at the dentist. I wish I could have taken pictures of them laying down but chad and I were both holding them down..haha.

Eeeek....

Last week, Chad's boss came up to him and told him that they are getting rid of his position. Scary. We really were hoping they wouldn't do this until the beginning of the summer. It happened a lot sooner then we had hoped. We quickly made dentist and eye appointments. We won't have benefits anymore. We are trying to find Chad a new job, I might need to get a job too, just until we find out about the fire fighting position. I don't know if I mentioned it, but Chad is trying to get on with the Smyrna fire dept. It will be a perfect job for him while he goes back to school. He works 1 day and then is off 2. The benefits are great, and he also has a dream of starting his own business so this would work great for that. He has his physical agility test next week. It's extremely difficult and most don't get through it. We still wont find out if he has the job for probably a month after this test. Please pray for us. We need to find Chad a job, and he REALLy needs to pass this test!!! Funny picture:

Haha!!! What do ya'll think of my husband becoming a sexy firefighter??

Birthday, Bedspread, Haircuts and Babysitting

So, yesterday we celebrated Chad's 26th Birthday. I went to lunch with him after he got off work, we went and had sushi with some of his friends. This was my 3rd time having sushi, and I actually liked it this time. Then he went home and I went to my parents so he could take a nap (he wakes up at 4am every morning so I wanted him to be able to take a nap on his birthday). He didn't get much sleep though, b/c people kept calling him to wish him a Happy Birthday. I came home and I was going to have a surprise birthday party for him, but that didn't end up working out. We had a small get together anyways, I think he had a fun Birthday. Happy Birthday Chad!! Love you!!

This is a picture of his decorations:

Owen had been eating a sucker and everytime he went to pick up a Balloont to throw it, it would stick to his hands and then he got the balloon stuck to his face.

Here is my Bedroom, I haven't been able to get pics for the frames yet, and Chad still needs to screw the headboard into place on the bed. I was wondering though, this room was already this color when we moved in, what do you think about the color of the walls with this bedspread? Is it too much green? If so, what color should I repaint the room? Here is the post of the before pic, its the very last pic on the post http://chadandbonnyday.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-house.html

Owen got his first haircut last saturday!! I was sooo nervous! I was worried that he would scream the whole time and that he wouldn't let them get near him. He was actually really good and the lady that cut his hair was really good with him. I really miss his blonde, baby hair but he looks cute with his new haircut. Now that I've watched the lady cut his hair, I think I will be able to do it from now on. I tried to take several pictures of his new haircut, he would smile and look at the camera and right when the picture took he would look away, ugh! I need a camera that takes a picture right when I click the button. Anyone know of any cameras that actually do that? Here are a few of my several attempts to take a picture of his haircut!!

Before and After:

(there was one little piece of hair that just wouldn't go down..oh well)

I went with Chad to chaperone a church youth dance. It was so fun I felt so old though. Leah watched our kids, we got home and it was so quiet, I went into Owen's room and this is what I found:

So cute!!!

Awwww....

So the other day when Chad got home from work, we were in the kitchen, getting the kids a snack and he said to me, "I thought about you at work today." I said, "Really? What did you think about?" he said, "Well, I was just thinking that if I met you today and we had never met each other, I wondered if I would find you just as beautiful and interesting as the day we got married." He paused for a second, I looked up at him, and he said, "And I thought, Yes, I would." Isn't that the sweetest thing a man could say to his wife? It made me feel soo good! Thank you Chad!!

A couple of weeks ago, Hallie was sitting in my lap, she grabbed my face and looked into my eyes, all of a sudden she got this surprised look on her face and she said, "Mommy! I can see Hallie in your eyes!" haha..at first it threw me off guard, and I thought what a funny thing to say and then I realized she saw her reflection in my eyes. So cute.

Doctor

So I went to the doctor yesterday, he helped to clear lots of things up for me. To make a long story short he said it is a 98% chance (given my age and my health it is nothing serious, thank goodness) it is 1 of 2 things

First: Esophageal spasm.
What is esophageal spasm?
Esophageal spasms are irregular, uncoordinated, and sometimes powerful contractions of the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. Normally, contractions of the esophagus are coordinated, moving the food through the esophagus and into the stomach. Esophageal spasms can prevent food from reaching the stomach, leaving it stuck in the esophagus.

Esophageal spasms are uncommon. Often, symptoms that may suggest an esophageal spasm are the result of another condition such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or achalasia, a problem with the nervous system in which the muscles of the esophagus and the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) don't work properly. Anxiety or panic attacks can also cause similar symptoms (if you want to read more here is the website http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/tc/esophageal-spasm-topic-overview)

Second: Panic Attack.

What are panic attacks and panic disorder?
A panic attack is a sudden, intense fear or anxiety that may make you short of breath or dizzy or make your heart pound. You may feel out of control. Some people believe they are having a heart attack or are about to die. An attack may last from 5 to 20 minutes. You have the most anxiety about 10 minutes after the attack starts. If these attacks happen often, they are called a panic disorder.

Panic attacks can be scary and so bad that they get in the way of your daily activities. Treatment can help most people have fewer symptoms or even stop the attacks. More women than men get panic attacks.(http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/tc/panic-attacks-and-panic-disorder-topic-overview)

I'm not sure which one it is, it could have been either one. I've had one panic attack before it was a year ago, but it was nothing near as horrible as this incident. I do get heartburn about once or twice a week. The day that it had happened, i had eaten chips and salsa. I was also watching Abby. Not that, she would have caused a panic attack, she is a good little girl. But my house tends to get a lot messier when the kids have their friends over, on this particular day, I felt like everything was out of control. I don't think I seem like a person who gets panic attacks though, I'm a pretty laid back person, I don't get stressed a lot, I'm not nervous and I don't worry a lot. Who knows, I guess if this happens again (hopefully not) I will know which one it is. Which one do ya'll think it was?

Scary!!

So yesterday started out like any other day. I went and worked out at the Y. My mom and I went to Target to get stuff for her Valentines party for the kids. We went home, the kids took naps, I cleaned. At around 1:55. We left for the Party at my Moms house. I called Brittany to ask her how to put a video on a blog, we were laughing, and joking around. As I got on the interstate, I felt like I had heart burn, I thought, "Dang, I should have taken a Tum, Oh well." But as I was talking and driving, the pressure got worse and worse. I had to get off the phone with Britt b/c it was all I could think about. As I was getting of the exit, it turned into more of a sharp pain along with more pressure, I started crying, Hallie said, what's wrong Mommy?" and I said, "My heart hurts baby, she said, "Is your heart broken Mommy?" At this point we were turning onto my parents street. By the time we got to the drive way this was about 2:10, I could barely breathe, my chest felt like someone was squeezing it as hard as they could and it I felt a stabbing pain. I called the house, my dad answered and I told him to come outside. He came outside, by then both my arms had fallen asleep, the pain had gotten worse. I was terrified, I just wanted the pain to stop, I honestly thought I was having a heart attack. I asked my dad to give me a blessing, he did. My Mom helped me to the car, then my dad made me take some aspirin and took then he took me to the hospital. We got there around 2:30. The pressure and pain had started to go away. I was soaking wet from sweat and not very coherent. They took me back several of the nurses thought that it was my gall bladder. They did an EKG, it was normal (Thank goodness). (they did this because I had another attack while I was waiting). They did an X-Ray, it was normal. They took a Urine Sample, it was Normal. 4 hours later, They sent me home, with NO answers!! I have to get a stress test done this week. I am just so frustrated! This was unbearable pain, and I'm terrified of it happening again. I just don't understand how something so horrible and painful can happen for no reason at all. I'm going to the doctor today, Maybe he can figure out what happened to me. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

Valentines Day!!

So, Valentines day was GREAT!! Vicki, my mother in law took the kids for the weekend! (THANK YOU!!!! VICKI!! LOVE YOU!!!) It was wonderful, to sleep in on Saturday morning awwww... Chad went out and got donuts from Donut Palace (a great donut shop on Lowry, in smyrna, if you haven't been there, GO!) I had to write a talk for church, so while he was gone, I worked on that some. Then after donuts, I worked on the talk for about 2 hours or so..we got ready for lunch and went out to O'Charley's, it was so fun just being able to go out by ourselves and talk spend time with one another. After that we went home. We exchanged gifts. He got me this HUGE card with a sweet note in it, he gave me the movie Wimbledon, which was sweet because I had mentioned like months before that I wanted to see it again, HE REMEMBERED!! Then, I don't know if you have seen the movie Fireproof, Its about this married couple who is having problems, they decide to get a divorce. The husband's father gives his son a journal, in this journal is 40 days of doing something nice for his wife, His dad dares him to do it, to see if it will save his marriage. (The acting is pretty bad, but the message is really good), Anyways, not that we are having troubles in our marriage or anything, but Chad got me the Journal and is going to do the 40 day thing. He told me he wanted us to become closer together. Isn't that sweet? I gave him a card and an X-Box live card. And a few other things ;) After that I worked on my talk some more, then we went to Target picked out some candy and went to a Movie, we saw He's Just Not That Into You. I wasn't impressed, Chad hated it, but it was fun going to the movies (we NEVER go!!) Too bad it wasn't a good movie. Oh well. After that we went home, I worked on my talk some more, during which Chad Cleaned the Kitchen (yes, without me having to ask!!) He cooked a delicious dinner, Pork chops, sauteed mushrooms, fresh green beans, and this yummy sauce and he made pina coladas. He set up a nice romantic dinner for us, it was adorable. After that we watched Supernatural. It was a WONDERFUL day, except for the whole having to write a talk part (STRESSFUL!!) Thank you Chad for everything you did for me I love you so much and I'm so grateful to you for being such a great Husband!!

This is for Vicki! This is a picture of the kids opening her Valentines Package! They Loved it Thank you MIMI!!!!

Leftover Pics

Here are some pictures from the end of last year, beginning of this year, that I just didn't have time to add:

This is Britt and Cade when they came to visit for thanksgiving. Don't I have the cutest nephew ever?

Here are some pics of when it snowed, we made a snowman and used our potato head pieces for the face. Hallie and Owen had a blast until Hal fell on the sidewalk and hurt her knee. She cried for a long time after that, I think b/c she was so cold.

Here are some gifts I made. I just went to hobby lobby and bought plain wood ornaments/decorations and then picked out some cute scrapbook paper traced the shape of the piece of wood and then mod podged it to the wood. Britt helped me with it. I think they turned out cute and I will def. be doing this again next year.

We went to see santa, don't have any pics of that b/c my camera was broken, we bought some, but I really don't feel like scanning them in. Hallie wouldn't sit with santa by herself so I ended up sitting by santa with the kids in my lap. I asked Santa if he wanted me to sit in his lap but he didn't seem too excited about that. ;) anyways, these are some pics of the kids at the mall that day.

Here are some pics of our Gingerbread houses:

And this is a pic of Owen and Daddy. Owen got a new race car bed for Christmas from his Nana. He LOVES it! (So does his Daddy)

And this, this is funny..I was sitting in the Living room, folding clothes, after dinner one night and Hallie took her plate from the kitchen, started running, tripped over the clothes and her face landed right in her plate, it was hilarious. She didn't cry b/c she got hurt, she was just upset b/c her food was all over the floor. I told her that she shouldn't have brought her food into the living room in the first place (that's a no no) I know I probably shouldn't have, but I laughed so hard. If you look closely you can see rice and green beans all in Hallie's hair. I know...I'm a horrible Mother haha.

Couple of funnies

For the first one, I was there, she came to sing here in Nashville for time out for women. Anyways, the second one, chad showed it to me and I laughed, really hard, brings back a lot of memories awww..memories, haha..anyways, the first one made me cry, I know it's not supposed to make you cry, but I couldn't help it. It made me feel good to know that others feel the same way as i do.

Changes...and blessings!

So I know I've told a few of you that Chad got demoted at work. They told him a week before Christmas. He received a pay cut as well. I'm sure a lot of you have been prey to office politics. I won't go into detail, but Chad was accused of things he didn't do just because the bosses had some budget cuts and they were looking for anything to cut his pay. It has been a hard couple of weeks! Very stressful. Chad has been looking for a new job/career. He is going to go back to school (we were planning to do that anyways). Anyways, if you could, please pray for us! For those of you who are confused about the whole law school thing, haha, well he decided not to become a lawyer about 4 months ago. He decided he didn't like it first of all, and that he wanted to be home more with the family. (I was so glad) So the plan now is to get his MBA and find a new job! Its funny how things work out right? Even though all this has happened, I feel so blessed! First of all I was blessed with a husband, who doesn't spend money, doesn't believe in debt, and saves every cent, which is good because I LOVE to spend money haha. We balance each other out. So, this really helps b/c we have savings and no debt! Also, there are little things in life, that I feel like the Lord just reaches down and helps us out. I'll just mention a few of them, you might not think its a big deal, but to me I feel just so grateful. This all happened within a few days.

1. So, I started taking a spin class at the Y, Lauralynn talked me into it, I was terrified at first but ended up really liking it. Only one problem, the seats really hurt, ( I will not mention where) I can handle it on Monday, but the next class on wed, I'm so sore I can barely sit. So I started looking into buying one of those gel seat covers. They were about $20 but we really don't have the money for it right now, I mentioned that I was looking into buying one to Lauralynn and she said oh, I have one I will give you! So sweet of her!

2. So I really, really need my haircut and highlighted! Like that's going to happen. haha..I ended up getting a free haircut and style in the mail from Macy's because we just moved into our house, and then Lauralynn mentioned that she has a friend who will highlight your roots for $15!

3. Someone finally bought our portable fireplace for $480 off of craigslist!! :) We put it up like 2 months ago, I just reposted it. If someone had bought it before the demotion, we would have bought a new tv. Good thing they didn't, we need that money for other things now!

4. So, a couple of days ago, I went to see Chad at work. I wanted to get all snazzed up (hehe) for him so I straightened my hair. I haven't done this in a while, b/c I don't like doing it unless i have the protectant spray for heat, and straighteners b/c my hair gets bad split ends and gets really dried out if I don't. I went to drop the kids off at my Mom's and Camilla said my hair looked different, I told her what I mentioned above, and she said, oh I need to spray my hair but never do, and she said I have some, you can have it! Ahe gave me this really nice spray from a salon!!

Anyways, Like I said, might not seem like a big deal, but it was crazy how all this happened within the matter of a few days. I just feel so grateful for the little things, they add up, ya know? Even without these little blessings, God has blessed us so much. We are all healthy, we have a beautiful home, and Chad still has a job, which is wonderful! We also have really supportive families who will help out if we really need it. They have all really helped out so much! Thank you!!
